Ashlie, single mother of four, was in her last semester of nursing school when COVID-19 hit our community. She had to make the tough decision to either quit school and stay home with her kids, or finish her last semester and continue on the path to financial security. Because of the Y’s scholarship opportunities, she was able to finish school while her youngest son, Riese, was being cared for in a safe and nurturing environment at the YMCA. At the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties, we are committed to providing opportunities to build solid foundations through things like life-enriching experiences in our child care programs. Every child deserves to have access to high quality care that prepares them for kindergarten and beyond – regardless of their family’s financial ability. Will you join us in continuing to make the YMCA accessible to all through YMCA offerings, like child care? To learn more, visit us online at ymcacassclay.org/ghd.
